Matt came to the construction industry with a background that has nothing to do with job sites — he spent years competing as a professional golfer, a pursuit that demands the kind of mental toughness, precision, and relentless self-improvement that can’t be taught in a classroom. When his playing days wound down, he brought that same competitive drive into the business world.

His path to Thomason Construction wasn’t a straight line. Matt tried on different roles, ran his own business, and learned through experience what he was genuinely built for. What he discovered along the way was that his real gift was relationships — building them, earning trust, and opening doors that stay open. That’s a rare skill in the construction industry, and when the timing was right, Kenny brought him in to do exactly that.

As Account Executive, Matt is Thomason Construction’s connection to the clients and opportunities that matter. He doesn’t just sell — he manages. His biggest testament to that is the relationship he has built and maintained with Caesars Forum Convention Center, one of the most prestigious venues in Las Vegas. Matt ground his way into that account and has grown it into an ongoing partnership, overseeing vendor management and a significant and sustained body of work at one of the city’s marquee properties.

Five years in, Matt has carved out a role that fits him perfectly — out in front, representing Thomason Construction with the polish and persistence of someone who spent years competing at the highest level of his sport. He shows up, he follows through, and he doesn’t quit until the job is done.
