Cameron Sankovich brings over two decades of deep-rooted experience in the Las Vegas construction and engineering industry — and he’s not just a guy with a desk and a stamp. As a licensed Professional and Structural Engineer across seven states, Cameron has spent his career doing what most engineers never do: getting his hands dirty on the job site.

Before joining Thomason Construction as Chief Operating Officer, Cameron served as a Partner at Sierra Consulting Structural Engineers, where he helped lead and grow the firm — managing complex, simultaneous projects from concept through construction, handling everything from structural calculations and construction drawings to RFI responses, shop drawing reviews, and boots-on-the-ground site observations. He later served as Vice President of Engineering at The Raymond Group, where he led risk management consulting and construction document production at scale.

What sets Cameron apart isn’t just the letters after his name — it’s the way he thinks. When a problem shows up on a jobsite, Cameron doesn’t send a memo. He shows up, engineers a solution, puts it on paper, and hands it to the crew to execute. That’s exactly why he’s here.

With a Master of Science in Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor’s from the University of Nevada, Reno, Cameron’s academic foundation is matched only by his real-world instincts. His project experience spans gaming, hospitality, healthcare, mixed-use development, tenant improvements, themed entertainment, and more — making him one of the most versatile minds in Nevada construction.

As COO, Cameron oversees Thomason Construction’s operations and self-performing trades — bringing the rare ability to see a project from the blueprint all the way to the finished wall.
