About Liz

Some people climb the ladder. Liz Thomason looked at the ladder, decided it was moving too slow, and found a faster way up.

Liz came to Thomason Construction and Dignity Plumbing with zero construction experience and zero apologies about it. She started as a dispatcher in the plumbing division — answering calls, scheduling jobs, figuring things out as she went. Within six months she had worked her way into a role that most people spend years trying to reach. She didn’t wait for someone to hand her more responsibility. She took it, mastered it, and moved on to the next thing before anyone realized what was happening.

That’s just who Liz is.

Before construction found her, Liz built a career the hard way across industries that have nothing to do with job sites or subcontractors. She worked her way up at Bank of America, then moved into retail management at the Disney Store — a company legendary for its operational standards and customer expectations. When COVID shut the retail world down, Liz didn’t spiral. She pivoted. She landed in construction, and construction hasn’t been the same since.

Liz doesn’t have a degree in business or a certification in project management. What she has is something harder to teach — an absolute refusal to not understand something. If she doesn’t know it, she grinds until she does. If something isn’t working, she fixes it. If someone tells her it can’t be done, she takes that as a personal challenge. She will simply outwork everyone in the room until the answer shows up.

There’s also something worth mentioning about where Liz comes from. Her father and Kenny’s father are identical twins — which means when people say Liz and Kenny think alike, operate alike, and refuse to quit alike, it’s not just a coincidence. It’s in the DNA.

Today, Liz serves as Operations Manager for Thomason Construction, overseeing the day-to-day operations that keep the company running at the pace Kenny has always demanded. She is the reason a company this complex can function at the level it does — organized, accountable, and always moving forward.

She has no formal construction education. She has six years of experience, an unmatched work ethic, and a track record that speaks louder than any diploma ever could.
