Our scope

Demolition, metal framing, insulation, drywall, paint, acoustical ceilings, acoustical wall panels, concrete removal and replacement, and plumbing, all self-performed by our own crews.

The project

For more than twenty years, this building was where Canyon Ridge families dropped off their kids on Sunday morning. It had served them well, but it was built for a different era. The layout no longer fit how the church runs its children's ministry, the elevator was in the wrong place, and there was no simple way to control who came in and out of a building full of infants and young children.

The church asked us to give the building a second life. Not a refresh. A new building inside the old walls.

Rebuilt from the inside out

We took the building down to its bones and rearranged the floor plan around how kids and volunteers actually move through a Sunday. Upstairs spaces were taking on new uses, so we added structural support to the floors to carry them. New restrooms went in where the kids and volunteers need them, not where it was convenient.

Getting families up and down safely mattered just as much. We installed a new elevator in a far more convenient location and decommissioned the original one.

Built around keeping kids safe

Every parent wants to know their child is secure. We built a controlled, one-way entrance so check-in and pickup run through a single point, giving the church's team a clear view of who comes into the building.

Finished four weeks early

While the building was out of service, the church was renting portables to keep its services going, and every week of construction carried a real cost. That set the pace for the whole job. Because our own crews handled demolition, framing, insulation, drywall, paint, ceilings, acoustical panels, concrete and plumbing, we controlled the schedule instead of waiting on other trades' calendars. We finished four weeks ahead of schedule, and the church moved out of the portables and into its new building a month early.

The result

Today, kids from birth through 5th grade walk into a building that was designed for them: bright, organized, secure and easy to get around. The structure is more than twenty years old. Everything families see and use on Sunday is new.

Working with this team on our kids' space was an absolute blessing. They didn't just execute the plans—they truly cared about how our children and families would experience the space. Once we saw everything coming together in the field, we realized we needed a few tweaks, and they were incredibly accommodating and flexible with every change. They delivered a safe, vibrant environment on time, and our kids absolutely love it!
